Nelson C. Chan is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adesto Technologies. Mr. Chan served as chief executive officer of Magellan Navigation, Inc., a consumer electronics manufacturer, from 2006 to 2008, until its acquisition by MiTAC Internal Corporation. From 1992 through 2006, Mr. Chan served in various senior management positions with SanDisk Corporation, a flash memory storage company, including as vice president of global marketing, senior vice president of global sales and marketing and, most recently, as executive vice president and general manager of consumer business. Mr. Chan is currently a director of Twist Bioscience, a DNA synthesis company, Deckers Outdoor Corp, a footwear company, and Synaptics. Mr. Chan is also a member of the board of several privately-held companies. Mr. Chan holds a B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
Mr. Narbeh Derhacobian is a co-founder, President and CEO of Adesto Technologies. He has over 20 years of industry experience working on discrete and embedded memory technologies. He has held technical and managerial roles at SST, AMD, Virage Logic and Cswitch Corporations. Narbeh’s industrial experiences cover development and commercialization of split-gate NOR flash, ETOX NOR and NAND flash as well as SONOS based MirrorBit NOR flash technologies. He has over 40 granted patents in various areas of semiconductor memories. Narbeh has a PhD in Solid State Physics from UCLA, and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Hervé Fages joined the Adesto Board of Directors in August 2019. Mr. Fages is Executive Vice President and President of Applied Product Technologies at Evoqua Water Technologies. Prior to joining Evoqua in March 2019, he served as a President for Honeywell International, Inc., where, starting in July 2017, he led the connected building software transformation throughout the Home and Home Building Technologies Division. He previously held Senior Vice President roles at Schneider Electric and positions at Tyco and Sensormatic, with experience working in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Montpellier University, France. He also currently serves on the Board for Mission 500, a nonprofit that works closely with the security industry to serve the needs of children living in severe poverty across the United States.
Mr. Francis Lee joined the Adesto board in July of 2015. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Synaptics, a leading supplier of human interface solutions, since 2008 and a director of the Synaptics board since 1998 until his resignation in 2020. During his tenure at Synaptics, Mr. Lee has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of the company. Prior to joining Synaptics, Mr. Lee was General Manager of NSM, a Hong Kong-based joint venture between National Semiconductor Corporation and S. Megga. Prior to NSM, Mr. Lee held a variety of executive positions for National Semiconductor. Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in electrical engineering from the University of California at Davis.
Mr. Kevin Palatnik was appointed a director of the Adesto board in September 2015. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Palatnik was Chief Financial Officer at voice-technology provider, Audience from 2011 to 2015 (acquired by Knowles Corporation in mid-2015). In his role at Audience, Mr. Palatnik was responsible for managing the company’s finance organization worldwide. Before joining Audience, Mr. Palatnik served as the CFO at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., where he also led the investor relations, information technology and workplace resources groups. Prior to joining Cadence, Palatnik was the CFO for a private application service provider, and had held a series of senior financial roles at IBM. Palatnik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering and operations research, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University.
Susan Uthayakumar joined the Adesto Board of Directors in August 2019. Ms. Uthayakumar is President of Schneider Electric Canada. She has been with Schneider Electric for the past 15 years working in both the United States and Canada in executive financial, sales and business development leadership roles. Prior to that, Ms. Uthayakumar led strategy and M&A projects globally with McCain Foods Limited, and worked with global advisory firm Deloitte. She has an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern with a focus on international business practices; a Master of Accounting (MAcc) and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Waterloo. She holds Board positions with Building Energy Innovators Council, Center for Urban Energy at Ryerson University, Electro Federation of Canada, and the France-Canada Chamber of Commerce.
