Narbeh Derhacobian is a Co-Founder, President and CEO of Adesto Technologies. He has over 20 years of industry experience working on discrete and embedded memory technologies. He has held technical and managerial roles at SST, AMD, Virage Logic and Cswitch Corporations. Narbeh’s industrial experience includes development and commercialization of split-gate NOR flash, ETOX NOR and NAND flash as well as SONOS based MirrorBit NOR flash technologies. He has over 40 granted patents in various areas of semiconductor memories. Narbeh has a PhD in Solid State Physics from UCLA, and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Ron Shelton is Chief Financial Officer at Adesto Technologies. Mr. Shelton has more than 18 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer for companies ranging from privately-held startups to public companies with revenues in excess of $900 million, including Cirrus Logic, Alliance Semiconductor, GigOptix, Alien Technology and others. During his career, Mr. Shelton has successfully completed transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion, including public and private equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, joint ventures and divestitures. In addition to finance, at various points in his career Mr. Shelton has directed and managed worldwide teams in legal, risk management, human resources and information technology. Ron has a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
Raphael Mehrbians is Vice President and General Manager of the Memory Business Unit of Adesto. He was previously the company’s Vice President of Marketing. Raphael has more than 25 years of marketing and business management experience spanning early stage startups to $250M+ publicly traded companies. Prior to joining Adesto, he held leadership roles at Lexar Media, Cirrus Logic and National Semiconductor and Genesis Microchip where he was Sr. Vice President of Product Marketing. Most recently, Raphael was an independent business development and executive management consultant to a variety of companies such as IDT, Pixelworks, InfoNeedle, and Saankhya Labs. Raphael has M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Chris Jodoin is Vice President and General Manager of Embedded Systems at Adesto. He brings to Adesto over 25 years of experience across all functions of technology businesses. Prior to joining Adesto, Chris served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Corporate Planning for Echelon Corporation, where he helped lead a turnaround of its core business and ultimately the sale of the company and integration into Adesto. Prior to Echelon, he has held senior financial and operational roles with Inventiv Health, Hewlett Packard and 3Com Networks. Chris holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College.
Dermot Barry is General Manager of the ASIC & IP Division of Adesto. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, most recently serving as Vice President and General Manager of S3 Semiconductors, where under his leadership the company completed a transition from a design service and IP licensing business to a full service fabless semiconductor company. Before that, Dermot was General Manager of the Wireless Systems Business Unit at S3 Group. He has also held management and engineering roles with Cadence Design Systems and Philips Research. Dermot graduated from University College Dublin with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering.
Tom Spade is vice president of worldwide sales, responsible for all customer operations and relationship management, as well as sales and distribution strategies for Adesto. An experienced sales leader, Spade was previously vice president of global sales at Audience, and at Boston-Power. Prior to that, he served as vice president of global sales at Validity. He also spent nine years at Synaptics, most recently as vice president of worldwide sales, supporting efforts to grow the company from $25MM in revenues, prior to its initial public offering (IPO), to over $300MM.
Earlier in his career, he held senior sales positions at Alliance Semiconductor, Anthem Electronics, Arrow Electronics, and also Andersen Consulting. Spade holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Albion College.
Andy Lovit is Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Embedded Systems, for Adesto. He brings more than 30 years of sales and executive management technology leadership experience to Adesto and has been instrumental in building and driving sales teams with significant revenue growth for public, private venture, and private equity backed companies. Most recently Andy served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Echelon Corporation. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Services for Procera Networks, now Sandvine. Andy has also held executive sales leadership roles at Fortress Solutions, Bivio Networks, Ericsson, SkyStream Networks, Paradyne Corporation, and 3Com. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
Gideon Intrater is Adesto’s Chief Technology Officer. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor market to his role in the company. Gideon serves on the Advisory board of Centipede Semi and Think Silicon and was previously a member of the advisory board of Sansa Security (acquired by ARM in July 2015). Previously, Mr. Intrater was Vice President of Marketing at MIPS Technologies (until the company was sold in February 2013). Before joining MIPS, Mr. Intrater was Vice President of Architecture for Symwave, a privately-held supplier of high-performance analog/mixed signal semiconductor solutions for consumer devices. Prior to Symwave, Mr. Intrater held various management positions at MIPS Technologies and National Semiconductor Corporation. Mr. Intrater holds over 30 issued patents. He earned BSEE and MSEE degrees from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Sohrab is Chief Strategy Officer at Adesto. An experienced technical executive, Sohrab Modi most recently was CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering for Echelon Corporation, where he guided the product strategy and engineering efforts. Before joining Echelon, he held Vice President and Chief Technology Officer roles at both Huawei and Sun Microsystems. At Huawei, he led technical strategy and planning for Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M), cloud, big data, software-defined networking (SDN), and other initiatives. At Sun, he explored new business and technology opportunities for the company and was Vice President and General Manager for N1 Systems, an early cloud computing offering. He earned a master’s degree in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Mumbai.
Seyed Attaran is VP Worldwide Operations at Adesto. He joined the company in 2018, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and IT operations with both privately-held and public semiconductor companies. He was previously VP of Operations with MACOM, a provider of semiconductor technologies for communications networks. Prior to that he was with AppliedMicro where he held various operations roles including VP of Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability Operations. Mr. Attaran also held various operations roles with PLX Technology, Genesis Microchip, and Sipex Corporation. He attended the University of California, Davis and began his semiconductor career as a process engineer. He holds patents in the area of integrated circuit fabrication and packaging.
Janet Wang is Vice President of Business Development for Adesto. Prior to this position, Dr. Wang was Vice President of Adesto’s Discrete Products Group responsible for Flash memory products production, roadmap, and strategy. She was previously Vice President of CBRAM Technology Development at Adesto. Dr. Wang has over 19 years of industry experience spanning product and technology development, strategy and roadmap, manufacturing, and business leadership bringing multiple novel technologies and products to the market. Prior to joining Adesto, she held managerial and engineering positions at Broadcom Corporation, Transmeta Corporation, Advanced Micro Devices, and Aerospace Corporation. Dr. Wang has authored and co-authored over 35 U.S. patents and technical papers. She was awarded the Best Paper at IRPS and has served on various program committees of technical conferences. Dr. Wang received her PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
As Vice President and General Counsel for Adesto, David Aaron is responsible for all legal aspects of the company. Mr. Aaron has more than 25 years of experience providing leadership and legal counsel to both privately held startups and public companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to joining Adesto, Mr. Aaron was Chief Legal Officer, Secretary and VP Business development for Alien Technology, a provider of RFID transceiver chips and readers. He has also served in various management and legal capacities for Sun Microsystems, Cobalt Networks, and Emery Worldwide, and spent several years in private practice. Mr. Aaron received his Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with an emphasis in Finance, from Santa Clara University.
